Worst museum ever , nothing more than political brainwashing . We were told Egypt has basically won every war it's fought . No mention of Israel no mention of anything remotely interesting . The displays look as if they were from a child's elementary school fair . Worth a laugh but depends if you want yo pay for it .the... More

It has been closed for renovation but you have to walk up through the Citadel before you are told. This is not mentioned when you pay your entrance fee.

Would I drive here to see this place? No. Would I walk in here since I have already paid the 60 L.E. to enter the Citadel and this museum is inside? Yes. There are old tanks, airplanes, missiles, etc...that are cool to see and take photographs of. Like any country, Egypt is proud of its service men and women and... More

Worst review I have written. Total disappointment. Disjointed presentation of their rich and varied history. Each room had side areas with additional information but they were roped off. This museum helps you to realize how well all the other museums you have visited were presented.

More than likely, you will visit the Mohamed Ali Mosque at the Citadel while in Cairo, so you should visit the Military Museum as well, since they are within the some complex. From the outside, the red stone coloured building looks more like a railway station, so the interior was a real surprise. The decor is compatible with a small... More

This is a huge museum and is said to be the largest military museum world wide. It has some very interesting displays, and it is well maintained. Make it part of your visit to the Citadel.

The military Museum along with Panorama October war, can make you imagine how the Egyptian army was able to defend the Egyptian land. And since it is placed in the citadel it add another attraction to the citadel
