The best part of this attraction is the drive into it. Great views of the 'rural' Cairo. The attraction itself is a courtyard with the sphinx in the center and a seemingly one hundred vendors surrounding it. Lots of "old rocks" to look at but not much by way of explanation of what they are. Potentially more attractive to an... More

This little sphinx is the smaller version of its Giza cousin. It's made of marble and sits watching in front of a museum in Memphis.

This is not the great Sphinx of Cairo. This is a smaller Sphinx in the area that was Memphis. It has a little museum and the artifacts that were found there. On the one hand, it's not a big wow when you first arrive and see it. But, the history is interesting. This was the first stop on our tour.... More

Hidden in the city of Memphis is this beautiful work of art. Since it's made of Marble it's perfectly preserved

This is a nice statue. Great to take pictures with. I wouldn't go out of my way to see it but it was part of our tour guide.

I made one day trip to Giza Pyramids and Sphinx. Really amazed with ancient construction work. The guide Othman was very explanatory & gives advises at right time how to buy soveneirs outside the Sphinx & pyramids & what to avoid. I enjoy female tourists making kissing photos with the sphinx.

During our trip with the excited and excellent review of history and where the sphinx fitted into Egypt it felt as if I was alive during the time it was built! Nabil Reda, you are a tour guide of note!

Day trip to Cairo Pyramids and Sphinx a real joy, can get very hot so plenty of water felt safe but plenty of people selling trinkets and Camel rides.
