This is a new church and circular as would be a mosque. Put it on your itinerary. It;s worth it. Excellent.

The church is outstanding as is the underground chapel but the hidden gem is the cemetary. There are amazing crypts that look like rowhouses that are in various states of disrepair. Really old Greek burial grounds. The cemetary is definitely a "DON'T MISS"

If you are visiting Cairo, a visit to Coptic Cairo is a must. In Coptic Cairo, you can take a tour of the beautiful Museum and learn more about the ancient art of Coptic Christians, visit a beautiful church and synagogue in the small but exceptional compound. This is history at its best, a view of some of the earliest... More

Absolutely must see in Cairo. District is very quiet and relaxed, different from business and noise around the rest of the city as well.

The best part is the design of the building plus the shrine to St. George. It's an important part of Cairo and you should see it as part of a larger trip through the Coptic area.

This lovely church offers a unique moment for prayer and meditation at the small museum beneath it. You'd better visit it so I don't spoil the surprise.

Very beautiful church, right across the subway station. Worth visiting, specially since there are several other attractions nearby.

A great place to stop on your Coptic Cairo tour. The church, still a working one today, is beautiful and full of interesting history. Go with a guide to get the full story
