While you are in a trip to Coptic Cairo, don't miss this place.Though it's not functional nor photography is allowed, you can see this place & know the history of it's transformation as a Synagogue.

A small synagogue. With a lot of elements from oriental culture. Nice "altar" facing towards Jerusalem. A quiet place for recollection. No photos allowed.

They are still using the synagogue and you cannot take pictures here. The synagogue itself is smaller, compare it to other churches in this area.
