It is very nice to see, and hear about its stories. We had a stop on our way to the Valey of Kings, and took some pictures. It is a very nice view.

The river is beautiful but nearby the metro a certain Mr. Magdy claims that his daughter is getting married tomorrow and invite the tourist in order to attract them to the shop nearby called "Al Haroun" and sells his artifacts with great pressure. There might also be another person present who will claim to be the artist of certain works but then reveal that his name is not the one writte on the drawing. Me and my wife visited Egypt in November, at the peak of the second wave of self-inflated covid frensy in Europe and USA so the atmosphere everywhere was calm, peaceful and leisurely. First we watched the Nile from the embankment of the country's capital and had dinner aboard one of the numerous ships anchored there, then moved to its mouth up north and finally to Abu Simbel, Aswan and Luxor. We didn't take a felucca ride so I cannot say whether the river smells or not therefrom but otherwise it did not. We even tried to find a place to swim somewhere not far from Abu Simbel but the area was strongly guarded - as a military installation - so we preferred not to play with fire - and local laws. So, if you want to enjoy the Nile get as far to the north as you can. But please be quick - corona schizophrenia will settle down and hords of tourists will re-appear!…
