Definitely worth taking the trip to the outside pyramids to explore these monsters, we went out there first and it made our trip even better.

A very interesting pyramid to learn about and see. This may well have been my favorite pyramid. It is also very quiet here and without a lot of tourists which makes it a nice location.

Often visitors to Cairo leave all pyramids other than the ones in Giza. Regrettably, this doesn't allow them an academic understanding how the art of constructing pyramid evolved. Visiting the pyramid in Dahshur, Khafre and Saqqara permits a close view of the art as it...More

Dahshur is a wonderful trip away from the hustlebustle of Cairo. Through acres of date palms and dusty tracks to a desert scene with 2 amazing pyramids. The ‘bent’ pyramid is a unique, mis-shapen tomb (never used!) likely used as a prototype for its neighbour...More

The best pyramid, in my opinion. It stands alone in the desert, so it's easier to see and appreciate the size of it than it is the pyramids at Giza.

We enjoyed seeing a wonderful variety of pyramids during our time in Cairo, but visiting Dahshur was probably one of our most interesting experiences. First, we were virtually by ourselves as we walked around the pyramids as there were less than a dozen total other...More

Both pyramids at Dahshur are interesting , and quieter than the other ones. You can really get a sense of how intricate and what a real feat these pyramids are when you enter. It’s quite a climb down the narrow tunnel into the guts of...More

saw the bent pyramid. Climbed inside the other one. The descent and ascent are steep and have to be done partially crouched. reasonable fit people, no problem. I am not, but was able to do it, with some huffing and puffing. Wife and kids managed...More
