visiting the monasteries in wadi elnatrun is a very interesting experience, seeing a lot of historic churches with amazing wall frescoes with their old vivid colors and learn about the rich Coptic heritage, highly recommended

I spent a day there visiting the monasteries, very rich Coptic history with religious atmosphere everywhere, monks there are very welcoming and you can buy lots of souvenirs

Quit area full ofnspirit religion and peace . like every thing buildings prayer peace food . it peaceful place to visit and learn about optic Christian life in Egypt. I will return again to that place.
