Al Azhar Park is one of the most marvelous places to feel relaxed in Cairo.
It is full of green grass and trees.
It also has a place for getting drinks and food.

It was nice to get away from all the chaos and truly enjoy the people of Cairo. They call this the Love birds park because of all the couples that come here. We even saw an engagement shoot here. It is a very beautiful park and very big! Highly recommend going for at least an hour and walking around. It is very nice

Nice place an oasis of quiet in this crazy city ! Non egyptians pay 10 egyptian pounds to enter. Nice views over the city depending on how much smog there is that day !

We visited this park at night and we took our dinner there (sandwiches).
The layout was very nice and the scenery was beautiful. Most definitely the park was very clean and well maintained.

It is a lovely place to spend some time relaxing, enjoying the restaurants, or walking the grounds. There are multiple restaurants for a rang of food styles and shisha. It is also a great way to relax after you go shopping at the Khan.

When I first visited this park, and as soon as I posted some photos of it, I got several inquires on where am I, and it was hard to believe for most of my friends who visited Cairo that such a place exists there.
It is an amazing place, lots of trees and greenery all around with fountains and small ponds.
I wish I can visit again

1st, don't try to visit the park on weekends, it'd be very crowd!
- The entry fees is only 20 LE (2.25 USD).
- You can there enjoy the view of the millions kinds of Trees, palms and green spaces, also the view of the Islamic Cairo from above.
- Have a dinner with a great view at the citadel restaurant or the lake restaurant.

Al-Azhar is lovely! It's also a nice spot to watch the sunset over the city. We went during Eid and it was crowded but still very nice. It's also cleaner and more well maintained than most of the parks in the city. We will be back for a picnic sometime.
