It was great this museum ans see the various symbols of old egypt including the twin statues. It was extremely hot and no shade to offer. Suggest visit early morning if in summer.

Memphis was an ancient capital of Egypt. There are numerous artefacts on display here, including an incredible statute of Ramses II. This is one of the oldest sites in Egypt and is an interesting pace to start your journey forward in time towards the Giza...More

The museum is open air but there is shade from trees. There are some excellent peieces here and help inform the timeline of ancient Egypt. East to combine with a tour to Sakara and Dashur.

The museum was ok. The charge an extra 50 EGP to take pictures, but was not worth it. The things i wanted to take pictures of were not allowed even with the photo ticket. The museum was interesting, but i found the temples and pyramids...More

It's a small average museum. Other than a huge statue of Ramses II, which you will probably visit likewise items during your trip, it doesn't have anything special. In my opinion it isn't worth the time and effort.

Quite a few things to see, especially huge statue of Ramses II and the Sphinx of Memphis. Most of the features have information in Egyptian and English. Worthy of adding into your trip to Saqqara.

Definitely worth seeing. The highlight for me was when they explained how bodies were mummified and showed us the table where it is all done. Really interesting.

Very historical place .Main exponent is statue of the Ramses the great that must be seen when in Egypt. It is accessible and safe place. Only complaint is about so many garbage everywhere and pushy souvenirs salesman's.

What a fascinating place! Not as absorbing or well-preserved as larger sites but still very much worth a look - well presented and accessible artifacts. Also a nice environment in which to see them, without hassle.

Nicely arranged with good information . Need a tour guide to get the most out of this experience. The detail on the Ramses statue are specially relevant.

Sorry, I went with a tour guide. There were only 2 of us. Encounters Travel was superb - I recommend them.
