Amazing to see the pyramids. It was a breathtaking to see so much history. Most of the art has been removed and kept in the local museum. Better visit the pyramids and the museum as well. No one is allowed to climb the pyramids but with the guides permission u can climb 2 or 3 rows. But be prepared to... More

The only way to get the the scale of the Pyramids is to visit the Plateau, you will not be disappointed by the breath taking view. Surprisingly there were not many people there when we visited, Our guide made our tour informative,(studying this master in Egyptology at the University). Make sure your guide takes you here.

A good place to see all three pyramids. Great for pictures. Of course get up close to each of the three pyramids while you're there and see the sphinx.

Can't imagine the complexity of building these structures 4-5 thousand years ago. This will be a big challenge in today's world and technology. Yet they were built in a span of 20 years with only 3 months of labor each year. Views and photo ops are classic.

Of course this is one of the most stunning locations in the world; it can also be one of the most irritating. It's hard to take in the vastness and grandeur of the Pyramids and all their surroundings when you are constantly being pestered by annoying touts trying to sell you camel rides, clay scarabs, postcards and all manner of... Make sure that you choose a good guide so your trip will not be ruined. Ours was very disappointing, we paid a lot but the quality was super bad. His english was bad obviously not an Egyptologist.

Coming to Cairo and not visiting this is a definite no no. Simply amazing experience. We took the horses up to the plateau and the caretakers allowed us to do a full speed gallop which made you feel like Laurence of Arabia. A caution is to research the costs for the horse rides around the plateau. I am still not... More

You never really realise the sheer size of these pyramids until you're up close and personal to one. Our tour guide, Ashref, who was organised through our hotel at the Sofitel Cairo, was an absolute champion, he was a superstar amongst all the people at every stop, and he definitely, 100% made the trip for us. Doing the Giza plateau is... More

Recently visited the pyramids of Giza again but this time with friends who were visiting us. As always, the pyramids evoke awe from just the sheer size of them! The Solar Boat museum is very interesting and well worth a visit while on the plateau. It is best to take an animal or a horse-drawn cart to see the whole... More
