October War Panorama: This extraordinary war museum, considered to be Egypt’s biggest tribute to it’s greatest military victory of 1973,is situated in Cairo suburb of Heliopolis. The circular architecture of the Panorama is not very impressive. However ,the place & shows are mainly intended for school children. A lot of Israeli weapons, seized during October’73 war, huge slowly rotating screen... More

Fun for all museum! Kids love the tanks and fighter planes on the museum grounds! Excellent depiction of the October 1973 war and the events that led up to it. Best of all is the revolving theatre showing the events with audio explanation! Fantastic!

After seeing the first construction of this museum at the end of the 80’s last century, I had the chance of visiting this finished museum as explanation of Egyptian history but also the painting as a work of art. There are many panorama paintings around the world but this is definitely one of the largest and most intriguing.

I had kids with me and they enjoyed it very much,so why not take your kids to visit a great country's history in a cool advanced way. I went there in 2010 to clarify but i had to... More

Nice and informative, gives you a pretty good idea about the war. Not essentially the best place to go but a different place is always as bad as you think.

We visited this museum for an early afternoon tour. The museum hosts Weaponry used by the Egyptian troops and Israeli weapons seized in the October 73 war and its masterpiece is a huge cylindrical painting telling the story of the war. There were a few visitors in the museum, but staff were rushing visitors through it with total lack of... More
