If you visit the Pyramids of Dahshour right after visiting the Great Pyramids of Giza, you're likely to be disappointed as these pyramids of Dashour were the ones built much earlier at a time when the ancient Egyptians started learning how to build pyramids. They only perfected the capability many many generations later, which eventually led to the much more... More

Not sure if they are officially open but our Uber driving took us there and waited while we walked around. Beautiful village life around.

Car will take you under entrance of Red Pyramid. the hall is quiet tall, doesn't need an effort to climb 65 metres down and back. 3 chambers inside the pyramid with great acoustic and wooden stairs to get to... This place is an old go to of mine to avoid the crowds at Giza but turns out there really arent any crowds these days anywhere in Egypt. Still if you get a chance its worth the ride over to see the Bent pyramid.

What a wonder day. Once you hear and understand the history of these pyramids you will appreciate them even more. We got great pictures and now understand who are buried in these pyramids and why they are there. It is amazing to understand how these were actually built.

Then Dahshur is the place to be. There are not a whole lot of tourists in the pyramids in Giza since the revolution, but in the Red Pyramid in Dahshur I was all alone. The guard at the entrance couldn’t be bothered to go down, he just handed me a flashlight and kept on smoking. It was such a fantastic... More

If looking for great trip, ask in Emo Tour for Ahmed and his driver Tomsi. They both are the best you may find in Egypt. I can confirm it after having 7 private tour last week, and had the opportunity to be taken by them to Dahshur, Sakkara, Memphis and Giza pyramids.
