Lot of things to see, good presentation. Takes 3 -4 hours to see it all. Motocykle taxi did not know where is it.

I learned a lot about Kenya on the tour. It's last a couple of hours but it is worth. It made me love Kenya even more

Great visit to brush up on Kenyan history, from colonial times to after independence. I hired one of the student guides, skipped the animal part, and focused on the history. Good museum and informative displays and it was very nice to chat with the student guide.

I only visited the Herbarium and bookshop. However the herbarium is arguably the largest in Africa and an excellent repository for identification. I obtained the "Upland Kenya Wild Flowers and Ferns by ADQ Agnew" for 2000 shillings from the bookshop which I was extremely happy with. Recommended for those wanting to identify their plants from the Mt Kenya or Mt... More

The museum deals with many different topics - history, fauna, geology, local art, special exhibitions - and offers a not-too-detailed amount of information on each. If something isn't really your thing you can always move on. I went without a guide and felt more free to do my own thing, but it was clear that others preferred the (free) services... More

This place is amazing. It shows a lot of Kenyan history and culture. The guy who showed me around is a student at University and he was very knowledgeable. The place is huge inside with plenty to see outside also.

The Nairobi National Museum holds a comprehensive amount of information about the country, its independence, its wildlife, its people. I had a guide take me through. Well worth it. She was pleasant, knowledgeable and gave me a better insight than going through by myself.

I am a lover of museums but wasn't super impressed by this collection. It was just such a mis-mash of things and didn't really give a taste of Kenyan history or culture unless you are really into large taxidermied animals I would not bother with a visit.

This past Sunday, rebelling at my wife's urging that I take our daughter to church, I drove to the Nairobi National Museum, hoping to introduce her to the wonders of science and nature. I was disappointed. She, too young to understand her father's urgent imperative to point her in the way of reason, had a blast. The Nairobi National Museum, once... More
