About
This beautifully manicured park is a paradise away from Nairobi's hustle and bustle. Here, you can stroll around the park grounds, explore a cave and waterfall, have a lakeside picnic, go zip-lining and quad-biking, enjoy a boat or horseback ride, and even camp overnight. There's also a playground where the kids can have fun at and a restaurant to stop at for lunch. There's an admission fee to enter the park and some individual activities are ticketed as well. There are also tours available that will take you through all of the park's highlights. – Tripadvisor

Located in Kiambu town in Kenya, 14 kilometers from Nairobi, about 10 minutes drive from city center is Paradise Lost Resort and park, a magnificent tourist attraction in Kenya that is basically an oasis in the middle of a coffee farm.
Paradise Lost Resort in Kenya was discovered in 1996 by coffee farmers in Kenya. Paradise Lost Resort in Kiambu is beautiful scenery which oozes such beauty that the name fittingly benefits the surrounding and the nature. The main attraction at Paradise Lost Resort in Kiambu which is a 54 acre farm is the Paradise Lost Resort caves in Kenya that are eroded by the nearby Gichi River in Kenya with their entrance screened by an impressive cascading Paradise Lost waterfall in Kenya.
This together with the Paradise Lost Resort facilities and quality services offered makes Paradise Lost Resort on Kenya extremely popular as a perfect place to spend the weekend in.

Paradise lost is such a plot until recently they increased thier prices from 300ksh to 500ksh pp in a span of less than a year...ohh plus you have to pay for the car entry greed is real.
Now what is super dissapointing no tissue paper in loo, no soap in all water points, no sanitizers anywhere simply put no covid protocol being observed i.e staff not wearing masks, temperature check on arrival. Why pay for all that when basic amenities and services are not provided beats logic like really.

They charge too much.entrance fee is 400 per adult,200 for car,300 per child. That is just to enter. You have to pay for every activity you do including the childrens play area,500 per child.camel rides and boat rides separate.I think people need to be well prepared financially before deciding to come.

This lost place is an avenue to exploit both Kenyans and tourists. Very high prices and not worth the fee.
Just Visit other parks and caves. Arboretum or Karura. The entrance fee is 500, car pass is 200 and you have to pay for everything else including toilet paper and water for cleaning your hands. The children play area is 500, that's above 300 entrance fee for Kenyans. Terrible terrible place.
Very terrible terrible place. Let it remain lost forever. Not worth your money

The weather was too good to stay indoors today. This was a very much needed time out of the house. We had to bring the grill out.
I cannot remember the last time I was popped on by a bird. It happened today as I was taking a nap while appreciating the peacefulness and natural beauty of nature.
Bird poop on your body, especially on your head, is seen as a sign of impending good luck. Other common myths believe that if a bird defecates on your head, you are going through spiritual a cleansing.
The entrance fee to Paradise Lost for 2 adults and 2 children ( 10yrs & 6yrs ) came to kes1960 [ $15 / €14 ] .
The entrance fee to visit the Mau Mau caves have become pricey 😳 . Kes530 per person [ $4 / €3 ] on weekends / holidays. We could hardly make our way half way through the cave and we turned back as it was too dark and very wet. Money wasted here 😑.
We had an interesting incident where Kites attacked us during our picnic and took off with one of our T-bone steak🤭😅.

A nice spot to unwind from all the stress. A great place to relax amidst nature. Good to bring family, friends and have a cook off and celebrate with wine.
Plus point are caves, waterfall and lakeside. Nominal entry fee and amenity fee. Prefer to travel there by your own car. Best time of day to visit is morning 9 and leave by 2
OR visit by 1 and leave by day end.

I recently had the misfortune of visiting the so-called "picnic paradise" that has been hyped up as the ultimate outdoor experience. Let me tell you, it was nothing short of a disaster. "Overpriced, Boring, Filthy Facilities, and Soul-crushing. Avoid at all costs!" ★☆☆☆☆"

This sunday 8th Jan 2016 we planned with a group of five friends to go visit so we drive to the place...this are the prices:-
vehicle 200 entrance
adult 300 entrance
child 200 entrance
Waterfall 200(WHATS THE ENTRANCE FEE FOR?)
Caves 200 (WHATS THE ENTRANCE FEE FOR )
It isnt economically sound to charge someone to view a waterfall and a cave whats the entrace fee for?and again why do we pay parking fee if you opt to park outside they dont allow..!!!!
When all is said and done its private property and thats just my opinion. If you are on budget stay away.!!

I have visited the site many many times since late 1990s. It is one unique place. So near the noisy urban areas yet so far. It is located in Kiambu County just few minutes drive from Muthaiga as you head to Kiambu Town. Open throughout the week. Lots of activities suitable for all ages and any kind of group. There is a bouncing castle to at extra sh.100 per child unlimited playtime. Carry your own food and drinks. There are a few jikos if you want to cook there. Lots of open grounds for your own fun activities.

They announce on the website only that the entrance fee is 300ksh, but when you're there you find out, that zhey charge 200ksh for the waterfall and 200ksh for the caves extra. I rather go to kaurura forest. Its cheaper and more for the money.

Do they allow food from outside?
Is there somebody to guide you around or its not a complicated place
Written November 12, 2018
You can bring your own food. No issue. Infact people bring their raw ingredients and cook there. Bring a stove or a bar bq grill and enjoy a picnic. Place is very simple and straightforward. Good to relax and do some activity.
