DK Grand Safaris is a class act. My wife and I were taken care of every step of the way by Daniel (owner) and Nicholas (our guide and safari driver). DK has the best Landcruiser vehicles with wifi. Acomodations were first class and the food was excellent. Intra Kenya flights were part of the package and everything was well planned and on time. The entire safari experience exceeded our expectations. You will not be disappointed if you let DK Grand Safaris build you a custom safari package.

My husband and I had a WONDERFUL honeymoon (delayed from 2020) in Kenya with DK Safaris. From the moment we decided to book and plan, Lynda was absolutely amazing in getting us all the information we need and answering our many questions. Once we arrived to the moment we departed, everything was spectacular; professional, safe, and just an overall incredible experience. Dennis was our guide and Stefan was our driver. They were the BEST!!!! They were knowledgeable about all the wildlife we saw and about the various towns we drove through. They knew the hot spots to find animals and we got to see so many lions which was awesome. All the resorts we stayed at were beautiful and very unique. We were SO sad to leave! Daniel also met us upon arrival and departure. He is so nice and made sure we enjoyed our experience. We couldn't recommend DK enough if you are looking for a safari experience. We hope to come back in the future. Thank you so much for a once in a lifetime experience, DK!

Daniel and the whole team - the fantastic, knowledgeable guides Dennis, Nicholas and Frank - truly made our safari an unforgettable experience. Every detail was thought through, the hotels and camps were beautiful and each one different from the other. The game viewing was so much more than we would have ever expected! Not only did we see and experience the animals, we also learned a whole lot about the life on the savannah, the countries (Kenya and Tanzania), nature and the people from different tribes that we met along our journey. The team’s love for the animals and for nature is so contagious and really added to the incredible experience of just seeng these beautiful animals in their right element. If you are looking for a serious, carefully planned and perfectly executed safari experience, we give our warmest recommendations to DK Grand Safaris - you will not be disappointed!

We are just back from the most amazing 14 days of our lives! We had a wonderful Kenya safari experience, thanks to the experts at DK Grand Safaris. Daniel and his staff made all the arrangements for hotels, camps, and internal flights. Our every expectation was met or exceeded. Daniel and his knowledgable guides Nicholas and Ben, helped us find and view the amazing wildlife Kenya is famous for. But then, they taught us about each species, and life (and death) in the wild. Their knowledge was encyclopedic and their love for the animals and land was evident. It was so, so much more than photo ops and checklists.

Just returning home after 14 days with Daniel and his extraordinary staff at DK Grand Safaris. .They selected three amazing tent camps and two hotel stays for us. DK Grand Safaris is THE ONLY tour company to choose for your next trip to Kenya. They took care of every detail so we could simply relax and enjoy every minute of our trip.
Daniel knows everyone around and was able to upgrade one of our locations while we were already en route. His choice was my favorite location of all - but honestly, all were top notch. Daniel has a wonderful personality - he is kind and warm - and makes you feel at home immediately in Kenya. His laugh is infectious - but his eyesight to spot animals in the bush from a mile away is truly amazing. He is exactly who you want with you in the safari truck! He has such a breath of knowledge about each location and each animal which added an incredible depth to our safari experience. I look forward to booking another tour with him!

Daniel and everyone at DK went above and beyond to give us the best safari experience. The Camps selected were top notch and the food was superb! They know exactly where to go to view the wildlife and explain each animal's behavior.
Stay at the beautiful camps and relax, or go for multiple game drives per day.. It is all customized for you!
You will not find a better experience, or more friendly, knowledgeable guides. Daniel is the best.

We LOVE Kenya's animals, people and landscape and just returned from our second safari with DK Grand Safaris. We were lucky to have Daniel Kikemu as our guide but no matter who accompanies you, all of DK's guides, drivers and staff are delightful and knowledgeable. The tented camps are our favorite. We celebrated my birthday with a sunrise hot air balloon ride over the Masai Mara, followed by a champagne breakfast and that evening at the tented camp Kichwa Tembo, a party like no other. It was a thrill to see the big 5 and countless beautiful animals. We watched wildebeests and zebras cross the river during the great migration.
We were serenaded by bush babies, hyenas, hyraxes and hippos heading inland to feed each night. I encourage everyone I know to go on safari with DK Grand Safaris because it will be the experience of your lifetime.

From the time we landed in Zanzibar until we flew out of Nairobi 28 days later, we were looked after with the greatest of care and attention. Our week in Stonetown and Blue Bay was professionally and courteously conducted by Mr.Mussa SHAABAN. Mussa was kind, friendly, courteous, prompt, conscientious and, well, several other very positive adjectives. Our experience with Mussa was 100% positive. At the end of our week in Zanzibar we then flew to Nairobi where we were met by the inimitable Mr.Daniel KIKEMU and our guide and driver, Dennis and Stafford, respectively. I'm going to say right now that Dennis and Stafford are two solid, stand up gentlemen. We were taken to our hotel (The Boma - top notch accomodation) that night and then in the morning we met with Daniel, Dennis, Stafford and Carol. We were thoroughly briefed on our next three weeks in Kenya. The next 21 days were wondrous. My wife and I felt as though we were in a National Geographic documentary. We were able to see, up close, The Big Five and many, many other animals indigenous to Kenya. However, we were ALWAYS safe. That was care of our wonderful "minders", Dennis and Stafford. Their knowledge of Tsavo West, Amboseli, Samburu, Ol Pejeta, Naivasha and Masai Mara was encyclopedic. They are also two of the most patient guys we have ever met. Any reasonable, sensible request was met. Speaking of Masai Mara, words still fail me to adequately describe this marvel, it is, without doubt, a must see. At every Safari Camp, our accomodations were marvellous, we really learned what "glamping" truly means. We must also mention our travel agent, Lynda SWAIN (also very patient and professional), who greatly eased our planning and preparation. In short, if you are planning a Safari trip to Africa, DK Grand Safaris is the way to go. Yes, we would go with them again!

We just returned from an all Kenya Safari perfectly planned and executed by Daniel Kikemu and his staff at DK Grand Safaris. We had the pleasure of meeting Daniel when he was a Safari Director for Micato Safaris. I had arranged a friends group about 14 years ago and Daniel traveled with us through Tanzania and part of Kenya. He was so amazing as a coordinator and a guide that we cried when we left. It was a perfect trip! Shortly after our return from that Safari I was thrilled to receive an email from Daniel telling me that he had formed his own Safari Company based out of Nairobi. From that point on, as a travel agent In The U.S., whenever I had clients interested in East Africa, I went nowhere else than DK Grand Safaris. My clients all gave this outfit rave reviews and were thrilled that they had experienced a trip of a lifetime!
Prior to the Covid Pandemic I asked Daniel to put together a Trip for me because my husband and I wanted to take our then 13 year old grandson on Safari. Daniel planned a very exciting 12 days and we were all thrilled and looking forward. Then came lockdown and we were so disappointed. Daniel kept in contact with me during the entire pandemic, reassuring me, as we changed the dates at least three times! On June 6, 2022, we finally arrived in Nairobi with our now 15 1/2 year old grandson! Daniel was at the airport to meet us himself and he was a sight for sore eyes. I was so happy to reconnect with him in person!! From that point on it was clear that Daniel Kikemu had formed an outstanding company.
His assistant Carol could not have been more sweet and helpful. She loves to sing and in the Jeep taught us the words to Jambo Bwana.
Nicholas was our guide and driver for the first four days and the last four days. With him we visited Amboseli, the Ol Pejeta Conservancy and the Masai Mara. He is a great guide and now a great friend. He is personable, extremely fun to be with and extremely knowledgeable about all of the wildlife. He is also a great tracker and we managed to get up close and personal with the Big Five! A few game drives in a row we were on a mission to find the elusive leopard and Nicholas kept going until after dark! On our last day he took us on an “all day” Safari including a picnic lunch in the bush!
Daniel was our guide for the middle four days at Samburu and Mount Kenya. It was so much fun being together again! He hasn’t lost his guiding and tracking skills either!
We stayed in all tented camps and I have to say they were amazing! In my opinion it’s the only way to go!!
Both Nicholas and Daniel were fabulous with our grandson and were a big part of his trip of a lifetime! He will never forget either one of them. Africa is forever etched into his mind and his heart. The animals and the Masai people will affect the course of his life forever!

Can you have two trips of a lifetime? We did, the second being with our grandson Zach. On our first safari we had the pleasure of meeting Daniel who was our safari director. We were a group of 12 friends and explored Tanzania and Kenya. We still talk about our experiences every time we get together.
We’ve been home from our second safari for a month and I look at our photos daily.
Daniel and our guide Nicholas made this trip a special experience that I will never forget. Daniel gave us tips on how to get the best possible photos from our cellphones and helped Zach with his “real” camera. Daniel and Nicholas are extremely knowledgeable and we learned a great deal about animal behavior.
The trip was flawless and exceeded our expectations. It was great being with Daniel again and having Nicholas as our new friend.
Thank you for making our second trip of a lifetime spectacular. We are looking forward to planning a third of a lifetime with Daniel.

Dk grand safaris will customize for you. There is a park within Nairobi i am not sure if 2 days is. Good amount of time. The parks i visited were a a few hours drive or short flights from nairobi. But nairobi has elephant orphanage, giraffe center, i THINK there may be a cat center of some sort if you add those to Nairobi national park you could make 2 days. But contact DK Grand Safaris they are Excellent and will build best tour for you. I cant price it out i dont know. Cant hurt to contact them
