What an awful experience. The park is lovely on the whole but the giraffe feeding experience is seriously awful. They oversell they food so the place is crowded with people. Then they basically whip the giraffes to come over and be fed - over and over. My son (7) couldn’t get near the front due to the crowds of selfish people feeding repeatedly and not letting others in (due to overselling giraffe food) but when we saw how the giraffes were treated we were relieved that we hadn’t managed to feed them.
There are no signs anywhere - it was impossible to know where the different areas are. It quickly become clear that you are expected to hire a guide and that is the reason for the lack of information.
The price for foreigners is also too high.
My advice - skip this place. It’s much better to see animals in the wild in Kenya rather than seeing them badly treated in this place.

Great place to visit, the main part is like a zoo in a rain forest - you can see giraffes, hippos, turtles, crocodiles, snakes plus there is a butterfly pavilion. Some of the animals can be meet when walking through the park, fortunately not the crocodiles. They do feeding shows for the visitors, but mostly in the afternoon, so we didn’t have a chance to see one.
Entrance fee can be paid only in KES or with M-Pesa. Take water and snacks with you, there wasn’t place to buy any when we visited.
There is one entrance Google doesn’t show - not far from Nyali Mall.

It's and old stone mine where some animals found shelter and rather dense forest took over again. It offers close views of enclosed animals. For Nyali Beach dwellers, it is the closest and cheapest opportunity to get a faint safari feeling. I'm not a friend of zoo feeding of wild animals (and of teasing crocs into catching chicken meat in mid-air) but again it's a total riskfree family attraction (if you watch your steps) we are talking about.

I arrived at 9.30 and they said: follow the arrows and stay on the path, first out is the crocodiles".
Thats all..I and other families follow the arrows and all we saw was small crocs in a pond,2 geese a sort of antilop far away . And a Interm at the butterfly pavilion showed me a few butterflies. He did a good job explaining and showing.. so the tour was ended and I went back to the reception and ask were the animals were?
They're hiding, they answered..
Nobody told US , several families, were to find giraffe or when feeding time was, if feeding was all animals or just giraffe??
In sweden the animal park is for free and you see a lot of animal..
Dont buy this ticket !!!1400 ksh / person and no animals.. go to animal orphanage in Nairobi instead.. this is owned by Bamburi Cement, animal orphanage you support the animals and the work to save them.. its from the government..

We had a great time here and just across the road from White Sands where we were staying. Very wheelchair accessible and we have a lovely guide who took us round and showed us a great variety rescued animals. Took about 90 minutes to walk round and we were impressed with our old quarry had been so brilliantly utilised. Highly recommended

My family visits kenya twice a year. Every time we come to mombasa we visit Haller park for multiple visits. It’s close to town. You can almost touch the hippos during their feeding time. The giraffe feeding area is better than giraffe center in Karen Nairobi. There are also giant tortoises that the kids can get close to. So many animals including crocs and snakes too. One is the best animal parks in kenya and very good for small kids.

My family and I had a very good afternoon at this wildlife sanctuary situated just off the Mombasa- Malindi road, after the Nyali Bridge. What an experience we had. My children were able to feed the giraffes, and they had an experience of their lives. Here you get to see the following animals; Giraffes, Totoise, Hippos, Bufalo, Eland, Oryx, Crocodiles, snakes, Monkeys, Butterfly, waterbucks amongst others.
The best time to visit Haller Park is in the afternoon so that you can witness the feeding times as follows:
1) Giraffe at 15:00hrs, 2) Hippos at 16:00hrs and 3) Crocodiles at 16:30hrs.
The entrance fees are Kshs 500 for adults and Kshs 200 for children and foreigners pay USD$10

An extremely beautiful nature environment, totally underuterlized in terms of the tourism potential.
Starting at the entrance: the gate is badly designed.
For a park of this magnitude, a much more grand and professional manned entrance would have given the entrance the justice it deserves.
The entrance gate is a very important part of such an establishment. It's what you interact with first, before proceeding further in.
The entrance is terrible.
In addition, the staff at the entrance gate and at the main park reception where rude and extremely lethargic in attending to the party I went with.
The 450 meters walk from the gate to the reception requires a guide especially for security. The walk to the reception is also too long. The reception should have been closer, if not right at the entrance.
For those seeking to see a variety of animals, in large numbers in this park, don't bother, there is hardly any. You will be disappointed.
If you are seeking recreational activities beyond the forests and natural trails, take note you will also be disappointed by a lack of these.
The management of this park needs to go back to the drawing board, and examine how to harness the tourism potential of this beautiful underutilised park.
Activities to cater for all ages, while still preserving the environment, should be considered as part of the experience.

Giraffe feeding brilliant, huge tortoise, monkeys galore. Wonderful butterfly sanctuary.
Wildlife in the park and lagoon. A mini safari not too far from the hotel. Entry fee very reasonable. Child friendly and well kept

They do not let you feed the giraffes anymore. Apparently its due to Covid protocols. However, the area where you stand to watch the rangers feed the giraffes is jam packed anyway.
We were rather disappointed at this aspect, especially my overseas guest who had been looking forward to this for the best part of a week!
The hippo feeding is average. The 2 hippos look very very well fed! Was nice to see that the hippos have a huge area to graze in and a big pond too.
The crocodile feeding was the best out of the 3. But they only feed them 3 pieces of chicken legs. My guest actually ate more than that more dinner.
Overall its a nice attraction. Various improvements can be made. For example you cannot see into any of the snake enclosures to due to the glare on the glass from the sun. A better design would have been ideal here.
The giant tortoises and waterbucks were pleasant to see. My guest even enjoyed hugging the giant tortoises even though they are probably riddled with ticks!

Do visitors walk in pathways to view animals or it's a must to drive in the park?

Your website says entry fee for residents is 200 for adults and 100 kids. Was so disappointed and shocked when we visited the place on saturday only to be told that its 500 per adult and my son who is 14 years was also to pay 500. Kindly review your costings as this is misleading.
