Beijing Sideways provides you with a sideways look of China, Beijing and its surrounding.Aboard our vintage sidecar motorbike, we show the Beijing we love, without the crowds. This form of transportation allows us to be very flexible with our exploration, stopping easily whenever necessary, a very close proximity with the city and countryside where you can «almost touch» anything you see, but above all it’s a sightseeing wonder! Did we mention it’s extremely fun?

We only had 2 days in Beijing and wanted a quick overview of the city. We thought racing around Beijing sights by motorcycle would be perfect and we were right. It was cold, but we had dressed in layers and had warm coats, scarves, hats and mittens. My sister had a blanket in the sidecar as well. It was dusk... More

Doing some research we came across Beijing sideways tours. After reading great reviews and viewing videos we choose to visit the great wall in this unique tour. It was three of us, we were promptly picked up at our hotel as planned. Our tour guide was Chris and 2 other gentleman's. All three of them were exceptional guides! Very knowledgeable... More

I did two four hour tours. The first day was with Gael who is the founder/owner. He is a Frenchman who has lived in Beijing for many years but is best described as a free spirit. He has a great feel for the motorcycle and the tour is a combination of cultural immersion and a thrill ride at the same... More

The e-scooter tour of Beijing's hutongs was amazing. Gael was a fantastic guide who spoke amazing English and Chinese. His knowledge was brilliant and added real local flavour to the tour. The best thing about the tour was his dog that ran with us the whole way! I would recommend to anyone traveling to Beijing.

Amazing way to see a huge portion of Beijing by the roads less travelled. Gael was a fantastic host and knowledgeable guide, with than evident love for the city of Beijing. The tour itself provided a real insight into the hutong lifestyle, culture and history, as well as showing some of the city's top new dining spots and nightlife. Doing... More

Had a great time on a night tour - safe driver, excellent tour guide. Lots to see (even if some of the monuments are not illuminated), and especially appreciated the stop for some street food. Loved it!

We loved everything about our trip with Beijing Sideways! From the mad trip through the Beijing traffic, to the peaceful "yellow flower" section of the Wall. From the delicious lunch that helped us to keep climbing on a hot and sticky day to the most amazing photos with not a single other person in them. The excellent Chris and Quan... More

Gael was the most superb host for our family tour of the backstreets and hutongs of Beijing, on our e-scooters. There were six of us, ranging from 15 to 55 and every single one of us described it as the highlight of the week - we would do it again immediately if we could. He showed outstanding knowledge, passionate enthusiasm... More

What a great experience. One I would recommend to anyone who wants something a little different and to get away from the crowds. We did a half day walking tour followed by a full day on the motorbike sidecars....brilliant for both. Our walking guide was a great lady called Sunny. She was very knowledgable, friendly and helpful. We visited Tiananmen... More

Chris and his Chinese co-driver picked us up at our hotel for an evening ride through Beijing. Fantastic experience during which Chris told us a lot about the city. He showed us a lot of beautiful spots, especially during night time with building being nicely lit up. Several stops along the tour. No rush. Very safe to do with (older)... More
