Ice festival in winter

Great place to see ice and light festival in Beijing. Getting there Is little tricky. It's better to go with any private tour organiser instead of using S2 train. If you have to... read more

Great place to see ice and light festival in Beijing. Getting there Is little tricky. It's better to go with any private tour organiser instead of using S2 train. If you have to go by train then leave early as complete journey (from your residence to The spot) may take around 2 to 3 hours depending where are you staying... More

We stayed at the Commune by the Wall & went from there to Longqing in October. We debated whether to go as there are so few reviews and took a chance... these are our 'tips'. 1. If you can afford it, stay at the Commune by the Wall as Longqing is only about half an hour from there so easy... More

Reviews below are quite accurate but fail to mention a few very important issues. The gorge and mountains are well worth the boat trip. We bought an 'all inclusive' ticket at 150rmb but that excludes the cable car, and even the toboggan run. You pay extra for the transport from the car park to the entrance too. The attractions facilities... More

Interesting day out, but this destination is 2 hours by car from Beijing. Spectacular scenery. There is a boat trip you take, the cable car and shuttle bus were not working because it was raining! Small temple to visit whilst you are there. We had a guide, not a very English friendly destination otherwise!

First, you need a car to get in here; there is no public transportation up to here. Longqing Gorge is located out of Beijing city area, around 40KM, you need to take the road to YANQING lake (close to the APEC 2014 Guest area), we suggest you to use GPS at any time. Bungee jump and Zip line (too expensive),... More

We came here on a day trip from Beijing. After getting into the park you must ascend a series of escalators concealed inside a huge plastic dragon on the side of the valley to reach the ferry area behind the dam. Once there you have a choice of a boat ride (it was either 150RMB or 100 RMB I can't... More

We arrived here on a weekday via private car and driver (Miles' Car Service) from Beijing for a day trip. We wanted to go here as we thought it would be a nice change from the hustle and bustle of Beijing, where most tourist locations are very busy and traffic is crazy. We were not disappointed. The parking lot was... More

It is nice... Before we can enjoy the nice gorge, we should climb up hundred stairs... Just relax, they provide escalators. The gorge is good and I enjoy the cruise hahah

The scenery here is spectacular! I don't know why more people don't visit this place. I was there with my wife and two friends and we were the only non-Chinese people at the site. The place is so beautiful and we did a couple of different hikes up to the top of the gorge where the views were amazing. I... More

We visited Longqing Gorge in the beginning of October 2015. If you are seeking a getaway from the smoggy hullabaloo of Beijing, this is the place to head to... The weather at this time is very pleasant with light, cool winds and a mild Sun caressing during the day. Late evenings can get a bit chilly so carry jackets. The... More
