Speachless. That would summerize this visit. It is so equal and precise, visually and mentally. More than the wealth it is the detail and harmony that hits you in the face and in your heart.

We loved our tour at the Forbidden City! Lines were very reasonable. We bought the excellent audio guide your that has a gps and provides an interesting and thorough explanation on all of the key buildings and monuments. Highly recommended!

The entire forbidden city is just amazing...worth a good half day or full day if you can. So many separate areas and courtyards and buildings and halls. This hall is no exception.

I went to the Forbidden City on a very hot day in August. It was the most crowded place that I saw in China. I highly recomment the audio tour because I could never get close enough to read anything as people are all crowded around. They don't let you go inside any of the rooms or anything, you just... This is one of the busiest attractions in Beijing that attracts lots of people from all over China and the world. It is huge and I recommend a few hours to fully enjoy it. We had a guide who explained the history of the palace and I recommend that. If you are visiting in the summer, bring an umbrella with... More

The Forbidden City is through the Meridian Gate behind Mao's Memorial Hall. When you enter the area you can't help but be overwhelmed at the history, the old buildings, the culture and the CROWDS! To view any of the interiors of the building you had to be aggressive and make sure your guarded your valuables in your pockets! There is... More

We went in the morning but still very crowded. Although the huge line to buy tickets it was a great experience. I'm not a person that like to have a guide our tour, but I rented an audio-guide that helps you not miss important facts and details about this place.

It is a great place to visit. It is full of historical buildings but it is really too crowded. It was really difficult to focus on the experience when everyone was trying to get ahead constantly...
