Great little walking park along the old Ming Dynasty City Wall. The wall's in great shape, all things considered (probably got restored recently), and the walking paths are well-maintained. Lots of families make use of it and I saw several old folks exercise groups and...More

I came across this site accidentally, having never heard of the Ming City Wall, and I was so glad I did. The site as it is today is very well set out with explanatory signs as you walk through the parkland following the 'ruins' of...More

It's directly accessible from exit B of the Chongwenmen metro station on line 2 or 5. From here, you'll be on the west end of the park. Continue east along the length of the 1.5 km section of wall to the Chongwenmen Gate. It's the...More

Walk here and feel a sense of history and escape. The view is nice, the trees and sitting spaces just outside the walls give you chance to rest and take it all in.

We had to wait a while before being allowed to go in and were given instructions not to take photographs there. We climbed up to see the restored tower and saw some relics.
