Wonderful place to relax , stroll at your own pace and find unique piece of art that suits your passion. Price here is much cheaper than those selling overseas .

I've been here twice, once in the dead of Winter (best not) and again in Spring - what a difference! You might want to choose what you'll be doing with your day, if you want to spend it art hoping, enjoying the variety of different...More

We go here regularly. Lots of nice options for eating. The kids enjoy all the little shops interesting. Many of the galleries are free, though I struggle to understand what's going on in many of them (probably my lack of art appreciation). Just wish they...More

My wife and I took the subway and then walked about 15-20 minutes to the Art Zone. It is possible to take the bus if you figure out which one to take from the subway and know where to get off. If you can't read...More

Loved! It was certainly challenging getting there even though we were comfortable using the subway. Once we were there, we never wanted to leave. The hipster cafés, brewery’s and shops are amazing. The art studios and incredible art installations top notch. If traveling with older...More

Once the beehives for artists, it is now the tourism place with some contemporary art. The best is the bauhaus architecture in the whole complex. It is hard to believe such architecture style exists in Beijing. The complex is fairly large. It might take a...More

You can spend hours walking around this place so get a map of the area to see where you have been. There are great art/craft shops in the area and lots of toilets and restaurants. A must see place.

We have been visiting 798 art district since 2008 when kids were toddlers, then 2011, 2013, 2015 - they were the genuine and glorious days: full of art studios and galleries filled with huge variety of contemporary and morden arts, no short of unique and...More

We weren't sure what to expect from 798 Art Zone but were pleasantly surprised. Half a day was planned and we saw and shopped a lot, but could have easily spent a whole day here exploring the plethora of independent galleries, quirky stores and unique...More

I believe that many of the galleries are open at night, and there are a number of terrific bars and restaurants that will be open at night. I do not think the museum is, however, open at night.

I was there earlier in the day, not past 6. But it is a big place, with lots of restaurants and other businesses that will be open late. Many of the galleries may be closed by 6, but there will be a lot to see.

You can walk around without actually going into the stores . 99% of the things to see are on the street anyway.
