This was so fun! I love that there are always different art exhibitions to visit. The style of art varies and the types of galleries range from small ones tucked in alleyways to large ones with lots of advertising. This is a great place for everyone, even people who are neutral towards art (like I am) as it was lots... More

798 is an arts district. It is best accessed by a cab or bike. The area is very large, and every time I go, I see something new! Some of the galleries a professional with legit exhibitions. Others are somewhat kitchy (but still fun). There are lots of bars, restaurants, and shops. Space for kids to run around. Some very... More

My wife and I were impressed not only by the quantity of art galleries but also by the quality of the art displayed. There is free public wifi in many places!

Even if it's a little bit complicated to access by subway or bus, it's easy to tell a taxi driver to go to 798 (tchi jiao ba). It's a really nice former industrial neighborhood redesign as art galeries by chinese and international artists. The feeping is really peacefull, as there's almost no car around. You can find very different styles... More

Lots of interesting cafes, shops, galleries, and art pieces at every corner! Started our walk in this area with breakfast at FlatWhite Cafe and ending with lunch at Na Jia Xiao Guan. Perfect!

If you are going to visit the Art Zone, don't go on a Monday as any museums will be closed. You can still do shopping and see the many sculptures that are found throughout the streets. Restaurants in the Art Zone are open on a Monday as well

Not having visited for 8+ years, much has changed, with the opening of new areas and restaurants and cafes - much of which is welcome given the lack of variety and choice in the past. However, something new is having to pay to access badly curated or kept galleries. Still overall a very quirky place and an insight to the... More
