This is one of the largest flea markets (in terms of number of stalls) I've ever been to in my life. Located about 35 minutes by subway (with one change #1 West to the #10 South, exiting at the Panjiayuan station), it's simply massive. There...More

I am not a negotiator nor do I like negotiating. We found some nice trinkets but overall not my taste in shopping.

Everything there looks interesting, but be ware most of them are not old at all. It is a place to test your bargaining skills and you will need it later in the silk market. It is actually better to visit those stores, instead of the...More

I got there at 5:30 and most sellers had closed down. However, even 10% of them still open I had plenty to browse & haggle over. I know antiques and sure, there's plenty replicas (think Flea Market in the USA) and collectibles/souvenirs - there is...More

An absolute sea of treasures- I like that people didn't try to push you to buy. There was lots of beautiful and relatively cheap china, jewellery, paintings, clothing, tea sets and so on. Pit I didn't have the luggage capacity. But loved having been there.

We last visited Panjiayuan Market over 10 years ago & returned this May to see if it was still there. Much to our delight it was even bigger, if this could be possible. Very little antique furniture now, ceramics, paintings, scrolls, gems, jewellery, books, beautiful ethnic...More
