The China Science and technology museum is very new, having been built in the Olympic precinct in time for the Olympics. It's got all the things you'd expect from a science and technology museum - hands on demonstrations of various concepts, like electricity, Newtons laws,...More

We added the Science and Tech Museum as part of our tour to provide a break between historical/cultural sights. Additionally, we thought this might be something our children ages 10 and 14 might find interesting. We've been to several S&T museums throughout the years with...More

For the kid at heart a science museum is always special, however this one is running 85% as 15% or greater of the interactive exhibits broken, turned off poorly maintained. Still decent and great for kids, but it could be much more.

January 2107, when its cold, its nice to be indoors. It's at the top end of Olympic Park and a good 20-30 minutes walk north of the Birds Nest. For the price (a few dollars), yes, its worth the visit, not because to see alot...More

This is a very interactive museum and great for polluted or rainy days with kids. Most displays and exhibits have info in both Chinese and English making it easy to navigate round and try the experiments and activities. The place is clean and is one...More

We came around 4pm, which was too late, however, we still had so much fun! We first explored the Children's area, before we went to the 4th floor. Our son (5yo) enjoyed the learning experience very much. So many interesting things to learn in a...More

Four floors on biology, chemistry, physics, engineering ("Glory of China" about Chinese inventions was unfortunately closed). Perfect for kids, for adults there is significantly less (and only about a half is translated to English) but still worth a visit. If possible avoid the weekend -...More
