I visited in winter so there was very little to see in terms of scenario except bamboo and pine trees. However, there are some nice garden landscaping and architecture and it’s a nice little park in the middle of busy Beijing.

Yuetan Park, with the Moon Temple, may not be the biggest and grandest park one can visit in Beijing, but for a mere 1 yuan entrance fee, it is certainly worth exploring. There's a lot of real life going on!

A very small gem in a quite crowded area. Nice garden with a few temples inside where you can relax for a while. A surprise you wouldn't expect.

Yuetan was once the altar of the moon. Now it is just a park. The altar and associated buildings are in a very poor state and have been concreted shut. The altar has clearly suffered and is not a priority for restoration. The park itself...More
