People are fascinated about the architecture of it and way it's build. It's truly admire for the work they have finished in those days to protect the area from Outsiders.

It was in our bucket list to visit the Great Wall. Sadly it has been raining cats & dogs on the day since morning & we were worried our trip would be a wash out. But magically the moment we got off the cable car...More

Definitely one of the wonders of the modern world. Try to arrive as early as possible--it gets crowded, and it will take a while to walk with the crowds, so the earlier you arrive the better. We took the less steep path which is the...More

Took bus no. 877 from DESHENGMEN bus station. There are a lot of fake tours and buses to Badaling Great Wall so make sure you get on the official one. The one way bus fare is rmb12 if you pay by cash and rmb6 if...More

What an amazing site! We climbed up 3 or 4 stations on both the left and right sides of the main entrance of the wall. Steep upward slope. Better views and fewer people on the left side but both sides are good.

I was very very impressed with the great wall at Badaling. Not as much walking as at Mutianyu but the scenery isn't nearly as nice. Still worth it though to see a different section as they do vary according to what their use was at...More

There are no actual signs on the wall, at least I could not find it. The map is there in between and close to Badaling Wall entry point.

Planning to visit great wall with my wife and 2 & half year old son. How can we reach to Badaling great wall and come back from city using public transport? How much time it will take to go and the cost? I think cable car up and down is ok? Can I take toboggan ride with my kid for coming down? Thanks in advance for suggestion.
