This is a place where knockoff items are sold. Often hidden away. Asking price for “cashmere” scarf, 90 settled on 10. Asking price on necktie 90, settled on 10. Be aware that everything is fake. Know that whatever they tell you it is intended to...More

It is still a great place for knock offs but hone your bargaining skills. And remember you are buying knock offs so quality is not like the real ones. “You get what you pay for”. There is a whole 5 floor building of pearls and...More

OMGoodness! So much fun but you have to go with the right mindset: (1) be prepared to deal with uber aggressive salesfolk (2) know your prices (3) must like to haggle. If not... this is not the place for you. Go early in the morning...More

Meh.. it was okay. There were many stores, but nothing that was must have. We ventured into the basement/food court. There was a strong odor of either raw sewage or hot garbage. Needless to say, we didn't dine down there. If you're at the temple...More

This market is smaller than the Silk Market and a little bit more basic looking, but acceptable if you want to look around. Same as the Silk Market, keep in mind that some sellers can get really angry in a second. While I was trying...More

Shopping in Pearl Market is absolutely bonkers. Be prepared to haggle and bargain hard. Shopkeepers are ruthless and trained to dupe tourists into buying expensive goods. They speak nearly all languages..English, French, German, Spanish. You’ll find shoes, bags, watches, toys, arts and crafts, electronics and...More

Our tour guide took us here since it was one of the things to do while in Beijing. Each level selling the same things just at different prices. The pearls/jades are beautiful, but it was too pricey for me. We got a couple of T-shirts...More

Pearl market and Xiushui (silk street) are likely to the the two places anyone needs to go for all the great bargains. We prefer Xiushui in the way it is organised and shops are clean and in shops. Better quality and variety. Pearl has more...More

Definitely worth coming here if you want adequate quality knock offs. Of course you will have to negotiate. Start low and be prepared to walk away.

There is little I can add to the advice you have already had. However, if you choose to shop elsewhere for better quality products, don't miss out on the chance to experience the buzz, madness and thrill of the Pearl Market... More
