We expected to find more silk shops, but most of them had regular clothes/bags/shoes/etc. The shop assistants won't let you leave without buying something. At least you can bargain the price. Wouldn't recommend.

What happend to silk market?? Not fun as it was before, 10 years ago. Had to bargain hard to get a lower price, but still way to expensive. Really disappointed of the market and the people working there. Pearl market is far more better.

How good and legitimate are the local guides and private car hire people to use to do a day visit to the wall? Most are asking around 1400 to 1500 Cny for a 10 hour tour.
