Having been to the Beijing Zoo, we had great expectations. Sadly disappointed. Not much of an aquarium. A lot of tourist trinkets & poor food. One of most expensive things we did and not worth it. Also, they have the menke whale tank microphoned and it sounds like a screaming child echoing off the walls all day. Annoying. My advice,... More

Biggest aquarium in china with so many different kind of sea creatures. There are so many small aquariums and some big aquariums including sweat water and salt water. There are two big white dolphins and so many blue dolphins that shows very well. There is big zoo near this aquarium(including Panda).

The initial parts of this aquarium were quite impressive with some spectacular freshwater displays and the last part of the tour was also quite spectacular with the jellyfish area being one of my favourites. Unfortunately the marine (saltwater) displays were nothing special in the world of aquariums. The sharks were ok ... the coral reef tank was depressing with dull... More

As one of the biggest aquariums in China you expect amazing thing. Anything but! Very few animals, shows are very short and not all that amazing, they sell certain specimens and they facilities are jot well kept. Will not recommend.

Perhaps a few of the tanks for the mammals could be bigger, but the aquarium itself is worth the visit. Get there early enough to see a couple shows. After all the other museums, sites, and grocery stores in China filled with live fish displays, this place has a few good tanks and nice displays as well, but I found... More

Very few specimen of fishes. The dolphins and beluga were kept in very small glass tanks and were either swimming round and round or just hanging vertically. Sure sign of depression. There were more food outlets and amusement games catering to the children than exhibits on fish

Cant handle tears. Fish has small swimming areas. It was so crowded and full of screaming people. It made whole situation even worse. I can not recommend noone who likes animals!!

Not so terrible as its close cousin, The Beijing Zoo; this place offers something more for the visitors. They have dolphins, white belugas, and other animals that will make your visit a more joyful than you thought. Entrance ticket is not cheap (at least 70 RMB, movie not included...) but its worth to stop by if you visit Beijing Zoo.... More

Unlike the disappointing zoo in which this is situated (and whose admission you have to pay in order to have the privilege of paying to enter the aquarium), this is a well-attended, well-tended attraction. It costs quite a bit--especially by Chinese standards--and they have trouble taking credit cards, but once you get inside, it's easy to forget the difficulty on... More
