This gate is situated to the south of Tiananmen Square. It is once the southern entry into the Inner City. The architecture is definitely awesome. Remains an important landmark when visiting the Tiananmen Square.

I really like the building and the lookout, moreover they have a great 3 level historical museum on top of the building with quality pics about the old Beijing. Definitely worth it!

This is one of the oldest Beijing gates which is now a museum of old Beijing and two stories of arts gallery/exhibition. This building gives the visitor the opportunity to have a panoramic view of Tiananmen Square and the surroundings.
