Prior to our trip to Beijing, I was always checking on their website and WeChat account when they will start their operations. Then one day, I saw that they will be on their pre-opening from November 24-30 and the price was just 51 RMB for whole day skiing plus entrance fees and gear rental.I thought it was a steal and... I remember we use a private tour to go to this place. The guide pick us up from the hotel early morning, drove us to nanshan and wait for us all day long then return us to the hotel again. The place is so beautiful and it has so many different ski tracks. This was my first time skiing and... More

We, my son 22 and I, took 2 Subway trains , one bus, one taxi and in a little over one hour and we were at a great ski place, especially for those not so professional skiers like us. We didn't even climb a mountain as all the travel was virtually on the flat. Inexpensive, efficient and we'll run. The... More

I hadn't skied for a lot of years so when I found out I had a spare day in Beijing and there was a nearby field I thought why not. I went on a Monday and it is very late in the season so there was hardly anyone here and most were on the beginner slope. No lines for the... More

After a ski camp at Whistler, Canada, last year which my two children 12 & 14 enjoyed tremendously, we want a ski trip that would not hurt our pockets. Heard some positive feedback about Nanshan and knowing that from a geographical point of view, Beijing is NOT an ideal spot for snow and skiing, we still opted for Nanshan as... More

This place is perfect for people who are just starting to learn how to skii or snowboard. Good: it is cheap, probably the cheapest you can fine near beijing (1-2hrs on bus depending on traffic). Downside: There are many people going so it is frustrating trying to get the equipment and people would just stand or sit in the middle... More

Best to go on a weekday, not to be compared with North American or European ski slopes but if you want to really get some skiing in, this place is ok. Close to Beijing and reasonably priced. Cheaper if you can book on line but make sure you use the Nanshan link not Baidu. Everything else is overpriced and not... More

I visited three ski resorts near Beijing; this was the best for difficult terrain (although it was limited in this regard compared with resorts in other countries). it is also a great place to learn to ski. The staff were excellent, the dining options were also very good (including some great street food carts in the late afternoon and evening).... More

I lived in Beijing for 5 years and became pretty hooked on skiing during the winter months. The best skiing is 3+ hours away - resorts such as Wan Long that have 3km long runs and double diamond slopes, but if you're looking for something closer and for a day trip you amy want to consider Jindushan or Nanshan -... I recently had the pleasure of visiting Nanshan ski Village north of Beijing. About an hour away by bus and then a private car to the mountain afforded me a wonderful day on the snow. While compared to my home mountain it was relatively small there was lots of variety to choose from for my three-hour ski. An added bonus... More
