“Instead of seeing duplicated palaces, listening to textbook recitals, and routine guide presentations, we attempt to bring the emperors’ lives to life for you through fascinating stories with original iPad pictures and videos. Our Chinese culture expert will take you to see places that you would never find by yourself and discover the hidden stories and culture. In this 600-year-old building complex with 9,999½ forbidden imperial chambers, today NOWHERE is closed and NO secret is kept from you. This is more like time travel, not just a tour.”

Had great visit to this forbidden city. Much larger then expected and covers an enormous area. Wear good walking shoes and be prepared for the heat. This is an outdoor attraction mainly so if you do not enjoy the heat bring an umbrella as that...More

My wife and I visited Beijing earlier this year...and we were very pleasantly surprised. We both had expected the people to be not so friendly and perhaps many soldiers or police on the streets. Boy did we get it wrong... There were no " troops"...More

Make sure you wear good walking shoes because this place is humongous, the audio tour is cool because it senses your location and starts once you reach your next location on the map

The architecture is amazing . Lots to walk here . Not very wheelchair friendly although they have ramps but it's a bit steep. Wise to get a guide so you understand the history behind this.

Hi There, Great recommendation. It's hard to understand all that's going on without a guide. Thanks for Choosing China Highlights!

Great part of history and helps understanding Chinese culture immensely. Pick not a very smoky day to get a full splendor of the place and surrounding sights. Allow plenty of time as there are a lot of exhibits to visit.

First the site is massive with a lot of walking involved. Second, although they have installed ramps in many areas some of them are extremely steep making it difficult for anybody with wheel chairs or walkers to navigate without assistance. Due to the irregular stone...More

Bee, careful, do not get lost! Soooo massive. Yes it costs to get in. I do not know how much. The guide paid (part of my tour package). Another World Heritage site, this place indeed has earned that destination. Knives, lighters and other security hazards...More

Absolutely stunning. It is a long walk to get from the square to the other side but well worth it. Serious renovation has taken place on the main palace and the rest is going to be finished by 2020. The colours and splendour are beyond...More
