This is my third visit in 2018 to this beautiful titanium-accented glass dome theatre of the performing arts (aka, The Giant Egg). Over my past two visits, I’ve watched a performance and toured the National Grand Theatre. Although I didn't see Lang Lang himself, I...More

A wonderful complex of performing arts theatres. I visited the place during daytime, unfortunately all concerts were sold out. Still, coming here is much recommended – the complex is beautifully build, great architecture, some interesting exhibitions in the complex, the entrance below the outside pool...More

The least known of the great sights of Beijing. In my opinion the greatest of the "modern monuments" - a lot more impressive than the Olympic Bird's Nest. Before going in - walk around it, enjoy the light on the lake around it, on the...More

We did not go to any performances here, but certainly spend an hour or two looking at both the interior and exterior of the building. The exterior on a sunny day, and we had one, looks amazing as the metal exterior glints in the sun....More

the NCPA is one of the most beautiful buildings inside and outside that I've ever visited. Do yourself a favour and get cultured, do a tour of the inside. It was the highlight of my Beijing trip.

Spent 30 mins walking around the outside of this amazing building.....so much more impressive than the Opera House in Sydney. Inside was stunning with live classical music before the show.

The building is magnificent inside the lake and the interior is extremely well organized. We went and saw Romeo and Juliet by Gounod. it was a ravishment from the beginning to the end. And good surprise: the public is very young and eager to discover...More

This is stunningly beautiful. It was built as a cultural contribution for the Beijing 2008 Olympics. The CCTV building is known as the "chicken" - because it looks like chicken legs, the Olympic stadium is the "nest", this is the "egg". The approach to the...More

Beautiful architecture, definitely recommended to go in, view the exhibition, and probably catch a free concert in the hall. However if you decide to go for an classical concert or an opera, be prepared to meet some of the most intolerable audiences. Unlike audiences in...More
