Unfortunately we didn't have a chance to attend a concert or opera in this impressive modern building, so cannot say anyrhing about accoustics etc, but already the external look is stunning. We definitely plan to visit a performance there when we are next time in...More

The architecture is stunning both inside and out. While the entry is expensive, the centre also has excellent exhibitions. When I was there, there was one with artifacts from Shannxi and another that had costumes, posters and sets from operas performed there. Both were excellent....More

Amazing building inside and out. Love that the building stands alone. I was not able to attend an event but I have heard that the performances are as amazing as the building itself.

I attended a piano recital there. It was nice inside and it was great coming out to full moon and a lit-up Beijing on a warm May evening.

At the time we were here , the entrance was closed but we just went around the building sitting in middle of an artificial lake. Worth watching and taking few photos while sunset.

Architecturally ultra-modern and cool with its eye catching silver oval exterior, The NCPA is located in the heart of old Beijing, close to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. It houses an opera house, a concert hall and two theatres. Surrounded by an artificial lake,...More
