Commemorating the liberation of the city, the monument is right in the CBD. Historical and meaningful and respectful. A great place to contemplate the wartime history too. Surrounded by shops and hotels there’s lots to do, and lots of photos to be taken.

Most popular area with lots of attractions, food, shopping, transport, hotels. Many people taking pictures, well maintain, clean, lots of seating area where you can just seat there and look at people. Some bring dogs for walk.

Dwarfed by the surrounding buildings, this historic landmark is at the crossroads of a people watching and eating and shopping area. Located within the pedestrian streets, it’s a good central landmark to get your bearings.

This city is very bleak in many areas and then in this area it is very alive. Nice to walk around at nighttime.

This is the centre of Chongqing and the monument is best seen by night when all the lights show Chongqing at its best. The monument isn’t large by any standard especially given its title of the liberation monument. The area is crowded and if that’s...More
