This is a very beautiful museum with lots to see across the 4 floors. It is definitely worth a visit when you have a spare half day. The main display of the Three Gorges is on 1st floor and has some great images and details...More

If you are intending to cruise the Yangtze, this museum offers a lot of insight to the development of the Three Gorges dam and the archeological finds prior to the flooding. We visited with a local guide and found it very useful.

It's a good place to look at the history of the 3 gorges. The best is it's free and so cool to spend our time in the museum. Best 4 storey tour

Entrance is surprising free. Spent 2 hours just exploring chongqing related exhibits. Unsure if the air con was spoilt the day we visited as it was stuffy and warm. Thankfully it wasn't crowded despite being a sunday.

Overall this is a nice museum. It covers not only the three gorges project, but also Chongqing history and various other topics. It is clean but the hallways are hot. However, the inside of the exhibit halls are air conditioned.

This place is truly amazing and worth a visit. It is so big and such a massive build and needs to be seen. The grounds are well kept. I was also fortunate to have travelled on a river cruise through the Three Gorges.

A must visit. Many people were moved in order to build the dam. Also many artifacts will never be excavated because many, many sites are now underwater. Educational...do not miss.

Good exhibits on the local area and the Three Gorges, particularly the Ba people that lived here. The geologic history of the gorges was interesting, and I enjoyed that they had river stones from before the dam was put in. They also had an informative,...More
