We found it disturbing. China needs to up its game when it comes to caring for animals. Big time. Dirty, small enclosures. Animals looked sad bored. Hated it!!

What a terrific zoo. We could have spent all day just watching the giant pandas. There was a two year old panda having a blast wrestling with a car tire on a rope. Very nice place to visit.

Our tour group made a special request to see the Panda's while touring Chongqing. The zoo is right dfowntown and quite extensive. We only visited thagt Panda exhibit since our time was limited. They have lots of Pandas in natural settings, but the all are in seperate enclosures. In the past, tourists where able to pet and hold young Panda's... More

We spent an hour just watching the Pandas. Really good enclosures, they appeared very happy and well looked after.

The zoo is laid out beautifully. It was really fascinating to see the pandas. It was lunchtime we we went and each in its own area sat and munched their was through the bamboo and ignored the massive crowds around them.

We spent a really nice afternoon here. We went on a cool day in September and all the animals were out and moving around, coming right up to the edges of their encolsures. The pandas are very well cared for, with their cages cleaned and fresh food multiple times each day. There are ten giant pandas here and the zoo... More

I always go here on each visit. I love to watch the Pandas, they have a lot here. It's spread out and has a beautiful park like setting. It's also cheap, about $10 U.S. Dollars to go all day. It's a must visit for your Chongqing trip.

The zoo is actually very nice. But try not to go there when it is too hot. None of the animals want to come out of their enclosures. And when they do come out they are not very active. The grounds are beautiful though with many places to stop and rest.
