We attended in March with my daughter, the atmosphere was charming although very dark, the masseuse on duty was very mechanical, I would say not very motivated, but the worst thing was that when paying the lady at the cash register, an old lady with a grim face instead of charging us $348 for 50 minutes he tried to charge us over $500. When we asked for the bill to take a photo of it, he flatly refused. Finally he charged us what was agreed. Very uncomfortable experience, wanting to abuse tourists like this, that is not done. Be very careful!

Made a booking the day before for 100min body massage, but their staff was so incompetent and did not document the booking. Arrived the next day and was told they couldn’t find my booking and could only schedule a 50min body massage with no apologies. Very incompetent staff and poor experience.

This is my third time here. The first two times were okay. This time, I paid for the neck/ shoulder and foot combo. The neck/shoulder part was okay. Then he started on my left lower leg. He just kept rubbing the same spot on my calf and shin for what seemed like forever. I finally asked him if he was going to do my foot and he said this? And grabbed my foot…. I said yea, of course. I then started my timer on my phone and he massaged my left foot for 3 and a half minutes then he switched to the right leg. It was the worst foot massage I’ve ever had. I asked the front desk what they showed me as having in case there was a mistake but nope. Foot. I explained what happened and the man at the front desk told me I was wrong. I told him I timed it and he said it was impossible and he argued with me. It’s a funky place to see but that’s it. Don’t waste your time and money like I did.

The best massage place in Kowloon! After researching on Trip advisor i decided to try out tai pan reflexology & massage spa.
It was truly amazing. After a warm welcome from reception staff they were able to fit us straight in. starting with a relaxing foot bath. We were then taken to a relaxing dimly lit room, where we enjoyed a 30minute scalp massage & 1hr body massage. It was one of the best. It was a great end to the trip
I would highly recommend it!!

Great ambience and overall service from the
pre massage people. However, hopeless massage which left me with multiple pus filled "pimples" and red dots on both legs due to essentially minimal oil being used and too much "massaging" of the same areas. Be warned!

I have been going to Taipan on Nathan Road for 2 years, put up with the rude reception staff and very changing masseurs because it is convenient and I didn't want to start looking around for something else.
Then one Sunday I was told that I had to book 1.5 sessions to make it worth the masseur's time, that they had so far accommodated me because I was a regular, but this has been a rule for a long time. However, it is written nowhere, and even my masseurs said he had never heard this before.
Better they screw the Mainlanders and the Japanese who go there - I am certainly not going back!

Like a few people it seems, I decided to check this place out after reading all the great reviews here on Tripadvisor. The block of Nathan Street where Tai Pan is located is full of women harassing you with flyers for massage places so it's hard to figure out where exactly it is. Turns out, there's a fairly big opening with a staircase that leads you down into the place. ...and a friendly woman out front who doesn't harass you but just says "Tai Pan?"
Now I have to admit, I tend to associate dimly-lit, tackily-decorated massage parlours with the sex trade. ...so notwithstanding everything I'd read here, I was a little skeptical going in. However, it is indeed as others here describe. ...the nice long foot soak in the massaging chair, the free tea (though mine was a bit cold), the heated packs during the foot massage....and certainly good treatments!
I chose two services: a 50 minute foot massage AND a 50 minute full-body massage. All of this cost my under $60 Canadian (essentially the same in American).
For me the big selling point were the massages themselves...possibly the best I've ever had. The guy who was working on me wasn't just going through a series of strokes he learned in a quickie certificate program. He could clearly tell what was going on in my injury-filled body and was working all the problems out. There was no "filler" in this massage. He was totally working me over. Yet, while it was indeed painful at times, he built up the pressure slowly so that I could handle it. By the time he was done, my whole body was tingling and I could breath into parts of it that normally feel tight and closed off.
The only way my experience may have differed from others is that I didn't quite feel that same sense that I could hang out all night. Perhaps because it was a slow afternoon, I felt as though I was being watched like a hawk to see if I'd tip. Not that I minded. The guy earned it through and through. But it was a little weird to have this woman kind of standing their watching me while I put my shoes on while the masseuse looked on from a few meters away.
Perhaps these folks have figured out that North Americans tip, so they work extra hard for us. Whatever the situation, the massage services I got were completely first rate, so if this is what tipping gets you, I'm good with that.

Been to many foot massage places, even the cheap and dodgy one that fliers are handed on the street, this is the worst. I am sorry to say this, what I experienced was not a foot massage at all. They put you into the electric massage chair and soak your feet in the electric foot spa. Then you have to lie down in an ackward position, while they are giving you a light foot and calf massage. It was all done in a rush. I felt so uncomfortable afterwards cause my whole body was shaken, instead of slow and long pressure on your foot. The sign outside was around 90 HKD for 25 mins, but when you get to the receptionist, they said it is 198 HKD for 50 mins and I couldn't choose the 25 min session. She was not that friendly either. My advise is try others.

A real good way to unwind and pamper yourself after days of sight seeing, shopping for guys and gals alike. We did the foot spa 3 times while we were in HK over a week. You get a nice foot soak first, then 1 hour of kneading goodness on the feet and calves on a comfy recliner. A bit dim but a nice tranquil atmosphere with coi pond and asian decor. We would frequent the spa often times at the end of the evening around 11pm and go for dessert afterwards!

Surprisingly the hotel we were staying in (Renaissance Harbour View) does not have a spa. After a few difficult months and work and a long haul flight, I really wanted a good massage. I found a place not far from the hotel and paid 300 HK$. If was rubbish! I left feeling very disappointed. I went straight back to my room and looked on Trip Advisor. I wish I had done this before.
I found the reviews for Tai Pan Reflexology Beauty & Foot Spa. My partner made an appointment for us and we jumped on the Star Ferry and headed to Kowloon. The spa is an oasis of calm, stepping in from a very busy Nathan Road. We both selected the body, head and shoulder massage. What followed was 90 mins of pure bliss and the lovely pain of a really good massage.
I would highly recommend this place. Its calm, clean and the staff are all really nice. We were provided with pyjama style shorts and t-shirt to wear. After the massage we were offered Chinese tea. This place is open late. We arrived at 22:00 and left at around 23:45.
