We took the Turbojet from Kowloon to Macau on a Sunday morning. We didn't book ahead because we'd heard it was simple enough to turn up on the day and get tickets. Boy were we wrong... We arrived at 9:30 wanting to get on something before lunch only to find that all economy tickets were already sold for that day... More

I took Turbojet service when doing a day trip from Hong Kong to Macau. A few important things to keep in mind: 1. Get there at least a 30-45min early if purchasing tickets in person. They start the boarding process 15 minutes before departure. 2. Expect lines at immigration to be very long. Upon leaving Hong Kong, you must go... More

Pretty much the only way to get to Macau unless you fly a helicopter from Hong Kong. The price savings will allow you food, shopping and some gambling if you're so inclined. Clean, smooth sailing, and timely. Bring your own snacks or food, or buy them on board. Before you know it, you're there!

Very fast, very frequent, very crowded. many people push and rush as this boat brings them to the land of dreams! be prepared to squeeze with locals, else but yourself the first class seat upstairs.

Getting across to Macau from HKIA airport can be simple with the ferry. You can even bypass Hong Kong immigration, provided that your flight lands and you can arrive at the ferry ticket counter before 9:30pm. A very good write up, which I referenced prior to my trip, is available on Tripadvisor (Google “Macau: SkyPier to Macau (all you need... More

The Turbojet is one of 2 main companies that provide services to and from Macau(both Taipa and Macau proper, make sure you choose the right one). We just walked there on the day and had our tickets in minutes, no long waiting required. Economy seats were totally sufficient for the 1-hour trip. You get seats assigned on check-in.

There are few options available to go to Macau from HK, but Turbojet stood the best. I bought to and fro tickets one day in advance to avoid queue next day. You need to specify boarding times both ways. We took 9:15 AM onward and 7 PM back boat. And this much time is sufficient for a day trip to... More

Used Turbojet for our day trip to Macau. Booked on the day of travel no problems getting a ticket. However I can imagine this is probably not the case when travelling at peak times. Reserved the last ferry back but were able to board an earlier ferry. A choppy journey back !! When in macau, the bus station is outside... More

Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighbourhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.
