The peak is one of the must dos on Hong Kong. It was a little smogy the day we were there but still worth the trip.

For those who don't want to pay to go into the Observatory Deck this is a very good free spot to take pictures. It was just as busy if not more then the Observatory - possibly as you have those there who didn't pay for the observatory but also those who had come down from the observatory as well

Don't pay to view on the Sky Terrace - the view is the same from here! It is on 2 levels so if you are hot in the sun, just walk down the steps and enjoy the fantastic view in the shade

Once arriving on Victoria Peak and walking towards the footpath behind the Peak Tram Station, it will only take less than 5 minutes to reach Lion's Pavilion. From there you will have a prime overview of Hong Kong Island, Victoria Harbour and the Kowloon Peninsula. The view is breathtaking and in my humble opinion one of the finest city views... More

Now that the 'new' peak building has been completed, there is really no reason to walk to the Lion's Pavilion, the view is certainly better from the Peak lookout. When I was here in 1994, this was a great viewing spot, but has unfortunately been overtaken by time.

If you're in HK, then you'd definitely go to Victoria Peak. And on of the best times to be there is evening or night. And one of the best view points there is Lion's Pavillion. Despite lots of people there, you'd still have the right moment to take your the very best picture. Strongly recommended)

The ease of getting to the top, look for the travelater going up the mid levels, it takes you 2 thirds up and a short walk to the funicular railway and it does not end there, through a mall and up and up on escalators to the Peak, an amazing experience at night
