After researching the directions, my friend and I did the hike! We took bus no.9 from Shau Kei Wan and started the trail at To Tei Wan. Just follow the signs! It is also safe to do this hike if you're a beginner because the route is popular and there would be other people around. We didn't hike all the... More

A spectacular hike offering splendid views from the 'mainland' to surrounding islands, and back to Kowloon and Hong Kong island. Best to start the trek from the Bus 9 drop off point, and end in Big Wave Bay. across parts of the territory. This way, there is a steep climb for the first mile and a half and, as you... More

I caught MTR to Shaun Kei Wan station took Exit A and walked across to the large bus terminal. Bus No 9 to To Tei Wan stop. It was posted on the bus's electronic Display board. Many hikers got off at the Country Club stop but stay on board to To Tei Wan. There are toilets at this stop (... More

It is a bit hard to explain here how to get to the starting point of Dragon back as the trails in Hong Kong island are all linked together. No matter where you start, you should pass through Dragon back and end up at Shek O beach. If you like hiking, this is a very good trail to go, not... More

We started at the pavillion. This hike is pretty easy: you have to climb some steps up and down, but not for a long time!!! Donot do this hike on Friday or in the weekend, because it will be crowded. The first part of the trail is mostly uphill and pretty challenging. After 15min it gets a lot easier. Amazing... More

The Dragon's Back trail fits to all family members for just few hours walk. It is a relaxing walk that last about 2-3 hours, with nice lookouts over the south of the Hong Kong island. Remember to bring a bottle of water, a hat and a tower in case of strong sun and heat.

One of the few places in Hong Kong that you can hike without encountering hoards of people. On a clear day (although that may be rare in Hong Kong). you will be rewarded with amazing views of the bay and the southeastern part of kowloon island.

the trek is easy but give you a tranquil escape from city. The most rewarding thing, apart from the nice ocean view, is the dinner at one of the road side tables. We had a blast with one of the Thai place. It doesn't look fancy, but it;s the pick of the local.

Compared to other mountain (like the peak), there's no amazing view from this mountain. What you get is relaxing and easy hike, good for family. However it's not 100% family friends as most of it is unpaved path which makes slope rather challenging for kids (and some adults)
