I wanted our family vacation to Hong Kong to have a little education value, so we planned to stop at the Museum of History for part of the day. We were there before they opened, but not a lot of people were there. Once they...More

The HK History Exhibit is great. Amazing how much detail they decided to go into from the stoneage up until 1997. Then it is as if history has stopped. That was kind of weird. but up to 1997 it is indeed very informative (though you...More

We came here and once we got past the beginning which I found a bit samey - a flint and cave man are pretty much the same the world over - I was completely absorbed. Such an interesting museum all the details of history covered...More

Went with the family to keep them quiet and also due to the weather. Worth a visit most definitely - don't assume your typical dull and dreary museum, it was highly informative and insightful, the video exhibitions worth sitting through alone, listening to all the...More

Our family including our children enjoyed the museum. It is worth the short visit, we wondered around for about 2 hours. Admission was free. The day we were there it was busy with school groups. There are good, informative exhibits and short videos that detail...More

Firstly, entrance is FREE. We rented the audio guides at 10 HKD each though you can totally do without them: the exhibits and several video screenings already provided more than enough information. We no longer used our audio guides halfway through the galleries. Went on...More

Tsim Sha Tsui is one of the major tourist and shopping

busy and bustling neighbourhood that never sleeps. On
the surface, Tsim Sha Tsui seems to only feature an
abundant number of high-end retail stores selling
designer brands and jewelry, owing to its popularity
with high-budget shopping tours. However, it also

We stayed in Kowloon at the Hotel Icon, probably the best hotel I have ever stayed in. If you stay in Kowloon near the Harbour or a Metro stop its pretty convenient for everywhere.

The museum have guided tours during the day that are free. We did one and it was very informative and better than reading the captions on the displays. You can get the details from their website.

It's confusing a lot of people. The renovation is still at the planning stage. The museum is business as usual. It still closes Tuesdays though.
