It is just another huge convention centre. The facilities are good and the design are well thought off. The location may be a little off the MTR lines so a bit of walking is needed. The view outside is very impressive and slightly different from the usual as this is from the Hong King side as compare to the Kowloon... More

I really admired the architectural marvel of the building. After visiting the Golden Bauhinia Square Symbolizing Emblem where HK was formally Handed over to China by the British i visited HKCEC . The building itself is magnificent at night it gets illuminated during the Symphony of light Show.. . it has got some finest and amazing views of th HK... More

The convention centre is well worth a look around and their may be an exhibition going on that you are interested in. Its and interesting part of town with some good views of the city landscape from here. There are stalls open to the public as well as exhibition areas which require registration and a fee.

I've seen a lot of convention centers and this is as good as it gets. Although it's huge construction is underway to make it even larger. It's very modern and easy to get around it.

I was there for work, the surrounding area had a lot of good eateries and the famous kam roast goose was a 15mins walk away. The view is also pretty nice and convention area is huge. The only qualm I have is the long walk I had to take every morning from the train station to the convention centre,

Preregister prior online. Otherwise it is HK$300 in CASH. If you wish to purchase samples from the exhibitors remember to have CASH. Centre restaurants serve good food with a wide international selection. Long queues but food is delivered to the table quickly. Credit cards excepted

Its a good place to visit as this is the place where UK handed over HK to China in 1997. If time does not permit, i think its only to skip this as the view of this building from TST Symphony of Lights is better than seeing it close.

I was visiting HK for first time long back maybe 20 years ago. Where you could see more clearly the "bug" ( maybe is a different little creature) in the architectural design of the building-now it has been connected to all the surrounding buildings and is not shown that much, but is a still a gem for the area. Is... More

Good exibitions all most of the time. But even without exibitions it is a nice place to visit with a good view to the harbor and nice restaurants inside

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
