I loved staying on Lantau Island. We always felt safe and there were many places to eat, drink and shop. The public transportation was easy and affordable.

Visiting the big Buddha was extremely fun yet very exhausting especially when you are around lots of tourist and you have to wait in long lines. If you don’t have the patients I would say this is not the best site seeing place for you....More

I was really impressed with Lantau. Relaxed atmosphere and beautiful unspoiled countryside except for the airport area which is a spectacular site of its own.

The island offers quite a variety. Modern buildings, half empty malls, hiking trails, nature and some wilderness, Po Lin monastery and Ngong Ping 360 the famous cable car ride. Plan to spend the day here and visit monastery.
