Rode MTR to Lantau Island and boarded the Sky Tram. What a beautiful place to visit. Watched from Tram as we approached our destination, a 100 foot waving Buddha. Walked around the village and hiked a while. Saw flowers, orchids, butterflies, and tea trees. Lovely...More

I only had a five hour layover in Hong Kong so I hired a driver to take me to Lantau Island. It was just the right amount of time. I would definitely recommend it!

Using the MTR to get to the island was easy. We took the tram to Big Buddha and Po Lin which should not be missed. We also stopped a half day at Disney ok our way back. Convenient.

This has to be one of the best cable car/ gondola rides, I have ever taken. Lantau Island is connected to the main Island by a Cable Car and the view are worth the price of admission. You cross the ocean in a cable car,...More

Our children enjoyed the ride. Should not miss. The climate was good. The cultural performance was breathtaking. Few good shops offers food and souvenirs. Wonder why my travel agent did not add to the itinerary.

The cable car on Lantau Island is worth the effort. A loooong ride and so good value for money. It gets very high, so beware if you are prone to motion sickness or fear of heights! The Buddha at the top of the stairs is...More

Went here on a rainy day but it was still brilliant. Should of got there earlier than 12 as there was some great walks to do. Loved it in the rain so on a nice day would be even better. The big Buddha is amazing.

I don't know what you mean? We took a tour bus and then another city bus to get to the fishing island.

We did it as part of a tour, Bus from the hotel and then caught the cable car up and down the mountain. The cable car has great views.

We took the cable car and rode it all the way to the area where big Buddha was. There is a road to take a cab I believe or a trail to walk/run it
