We took a ferry ride across to Lamma Island which was very inexpensive. The ferry ride allowed us to see Hong Kong Island from afar. When we arrived at Lamma Island (Sok Kwu Wan) we were greeted by an array of food smells as well...More

Unfortunately, we didn't end up doing the hike across the island due to bad weather, but we wish we had of. We had lunch in one of the little cafes - cute but walking would have been better! Would definitely go back in better weather.

Nice walk but be selective and stick to the best part. The Dragon's back is a better walk and Tai O fishing village on Lantau is a better fishing village in terms of architecture. Please note I have only visited Lantau and Lama islands outside...More

Let's start with the food. By far they have the best seafood I've ever had. Very fresh and full of flavor. The island hike was nice. It's very sad to see how much trash covers the island's beaches.

Only a ferry ride from Central and Aberdeen Lamma is like being a 1000 miles away. It is quaint, quiet, picturesque and has some great restaurants

We took the ferry from Pier 4 to Lamma Island. The island itself is beautiful and quaint - main street is about 8 feet wide. There are several restaurants with amazing sea views. It was hot, which was surprising. We had heard you could ride...More

Everyone should have to swim at Hung Shing Yeh once. The experience would drive home the need to reduce plastic consumption. I wasn't expecting pristine, but I wasn't expecting a trash heap.

If you take the slow ferry across (only about 20 minutes longer), you will arrive at the town of Sok Kwu Won (I think) with more restaurants. Many are under the same management. Just look in the aquaria until you see the... More
