As a place for relaxation and recreation, Pemuteran is a small fishing village on the coast. Residents are very friendly and everyone is always happy to welcome you in the local dialect as "selemat malam" - Hello There are many different ways to reach Pemuteran. One of the best options is to take Antosari Street through the countryside.

We really fall in love with this place. The beach is black sand but really savage and peaceful. You can dive anywhere and enjoy many fish, squid, coral etc... they have a coral sanctuary. There are also many small villages with local, people going finishing everyday. The sunset is astonishing. From the beach you can also see the mount Inés... More

This white sandy beach is the most beautiful in north Bali and west Bali with still water and beautiful marine life. If you plan to explore West Bali or North Bali, hotels in Pemuteran Bay are good base to start.

I spent two days with them - and it was absolutely fantastic! Very good dives, I got to see a shark, sea turtle and beautiful Menjangan. The service is excellent, everything is taken care of, they pick you up from the hotel and prepare everything so can just enter the boat and start diving:) Also you can feel very safe,... More

We spent a month in Bali, travelling all over. By the time we got to Pemuteran we needed to find our daily massage spa! There was a reasonable amount to choose from (the prices weren't as cheap as Kuta) but as we were wandering the lanes we found Krisan Salon & Spa. The girls certainly found all of the knots... More

We stayed at the Pondok Rayahu Guest House and snorkelled on the Pemuteran home reef in September 2015. The guest house was very comfortable and back-packers rates and is only about 150 metres from the beach. The home reef is now protected and they have put in place artificial structures to support the growth of new corals. Also there is... More

As a coral reef ecologist I have wanted to visit Pemuteran and its artificial reefs for a number of years. The drive to Pemuteran through the interior of Bali past the beautiful lakes and attractions around Budegul was beautiful and fun. Pemuteran itself is a welcome step down of gears from Southern Bali and lived up to our expectations. The... More

This place is not what is described in the travel literature that is floating around the Internet. The beaches are not nice at all, garbage everywhere! Very very very, noisy due to the tremendous amount of road traffic and the mosques blaring for hours on end Forget about a quiet restful place, this area of Bali is not that! Even... More

Just a few meters from the shore you will be delighted with so many types of corals and small colorful fishes! The conditions for snorkeling in this beach is perfect! Calm sea, no current and very well flagged with safe entry and exit point. So, always have in mind to not stand on corals and watch out your fins when... More
