"Pasar Antik dan Koper" means Antique and Suitcase Market. So you can find few of (new) suitcase stores among antique stores. Although I've never been interested of buying anything, it's still fun just to browsing. It's also a nice walk, but the drainage behind the stores can be very smelly. The sellers were nice and let us took our time... More

Simple Summary, I loved it, from different experiences corners, let me list them in an easy way: -1- "Market owners" are never annoying! not in any way, as it is the case in any similar market in diff countries. -2- "Many varieties", some are real antique old items, some are made from bras material finished as old ones too..and they... Need to bargain hard and ensure authenticity. ... Nice place to walk around but be careful of the quality of the materials.

I was at a hotel near by so I enjoyed seeing this flea market but it's pretty junkie. A lot of wood carvings, bronze stuff, old bottles, cool things like grammaphones that have been out in the humidity and hard to transport. I had fun poking around the place but it's pretty dirty and unappealing. Does not have good jewelry... More

Visited with my sister as we love vintage / retro items. We probably got what we expected, but had hoped for more. Lots of wood carvings, lights, ceramic jars and metal thinggummybobs. We want to find out where we can get more of the car boot sale type of knick knacks in Jakarta! They must be somewhere! There were a... More

It's very nice place , you can see the traditional and authentic methods of making art pieces , you can buy so many souvenirs from there representing the country culture rather than buying clothes . I can't say it's reasonable , but very interesting at least to go and visit . It took us long to arrive , am not... More

Jalan Surabaya Flea Market is located in Menteng Central Jakarta. It is very nice street to walk along that you can find and buy a lot of interesting things like old wooden handycraft, jewelry, silver and bronze craft, old paintings and other antique things . You can also buy old books, second hand luggages, bags, etc. A lot of interesting... More

Was taking there by a tuk tuk so we arrived half way up the street where the fake bags are for sale. My suggestion is start from the bottom and work your way up. Lots of newish and old brick n brac. Some prices are extravagant as they see it's a opportunity to make a buck from the tourist. Haggle... More

I love going to Jl. Surabaya for wooden decorative items, some of which you wouldn't find elsewhere. The entire street hosts small shops that sell brass, wood, copper, silver, and antique items. I got a pair of big, wooden, king-and-queen carvings for a little less than $100. Great value for money. Make sure to negotiate, though.

Surabaya Street in Menteng Area is famous because of its flea market. I went there just for sight seeing in fact I could find lots of Indonesian antique furniture, coins, pictures, cloths, cassettes, etc. You should come to this place if you really want to have a view about little Indonesia in the past. The prices are bargainable. Good luck.

Thank Septo P
