This is a venue I will go back to as we didn't see all the exibts they had. Some of the puppets are over 100 years old and in excellent condition. They give u a book on the museum in both Baharsa and English. Only criticism some of the displays are only in Indonesian .entrance fee Rp5000

A great place to see the history of Wayang. Spread over 2 floors you can see a large variety of puppets.

This museum offers interesting collections of puppets, dolls, masks, and some paintings too. Too bad the place is too hot. No aircon inside and the air is a little bit stuffy. But I think it's not too bad since it's not very big so you won't spend too much time in there and the ticket is very cheap. This one... More

If you are fan of puppet, you need to go to the musem; their collection is almost showcasing the Indo's puppet (wayang). Nice building as well.

The weather outside was very hot so we decided to visit this museum. It was hot and dusty inside. The displays are boring and not nicely organized. We finished our visit in less than 10 minutes. Not worth our time and the 5,000 rupiahs we paid!

We were expecting an organised, modern museum, but got a shabby, uncared for, thrown together collection of different wayang puppets. HIt and miss for English translations of the explanations - and some were just plain wierd. But, the building was historic, and the actual puppets themselves were spectacular... so don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed.

Facing the Fatahilla square and housing different types of puppets.Open 9.00 to 15.00 and entry charges 5000 indonesian. There is a puppet show also which could be a bit of a waste oif time since its more of story telling and jokes in local language and very little puppet action. Puppets are housed in two levels

Only 50c admission fee and an extensive range of puppets on display. A small museum that is worth a look if you are in the square. Perhaps team with a stop at Batavia Cafe.

This is a museum dedicated to the art of Wayang. I suggest you read up on it first, to get the best from this place. There is a lot of local culture and history here. If you are in old town it a must see for me.

Although very a basic Museum, this is the place to go if you want to see puppets. It's inexpensive so even a quick trip is worth it. I really enjoyed seeing the puppets up close but the lighting and displays are basic. Happy I went, but if you just want to see a few puppets you can see a few... More
