I wrote average because the building and displays are in a bad state and there are almost no display texts in English. Luckily we've been able to see a live wayang performance with music at the end which made it still a little bit more...More

Located on the northest jakarta, this museum not far awayy from other museum (Fattahilah, bahari, fine art&gallery) quiet interesting because it showed many puppets and wayang from Indonesia. It is very interesting and you might catch a glimpse of the craftsman making the puppets. The down side of it is not all explanations are in english and some explanations are missing.

Aircon is not working. Old building with contain cultural puppet collection & attraction from whole around Indonesia province. Area surounding is very dirty with trash. Many bum.

When I was at the museum, the curator was there and he was very informative about the exhibits. I suggest you either call the museum or turn up and ask to speak to him
