Bakpia Pathok is kind of sweet snack (the filling made from mung beans) its influenced by chinese etnicities but its already become a traditinial iconic snack from Jogja.
Most local tourists bought it as common specific Jogja's souvenirs / gifts.
BAKPIA PATHOK 25 is one of the most favourite and its a must try.

It was crowded, but we were attended very soon by one of the service crews. Trying their best to communicate in English, they managed to offer us the varieties of bakpia they have. Our favourite is the moong bean flavoured and the pineapple flavoured. These snacks can only be kept for about 4-10 days as they are totally handmade with no artificial addictive. The service crew also brought us in their kitchen where they (the orphans) are working hard in producing these snacks. Eye opener!

- the place located at the small road
- hospitality very poor (I'm very surpraise with kind of attitude)
- Taste: just similar like other bakpia in jogja
- Cleanness: typical home industry where cleanness is not a major concern for them
- space: compact space for shopping

Busy place not only selling the bakpia/hopia but you can find other Yogyakarta snacks. The original bakpia with Moong bean flavor is the best one the other flavors like the green tea failed to taste. Their green tea bakpia was just tasted too sweet.
They will give you cute boxes if you buy 4 boxes of bakpia.
This was our first time tasting the bakpia it is not as flaky as the one we tasted form other country like hopia from China, Vietnam or Philippine but is not bad and again we are not crazy about it either.

If you come to Yogyakarta, don't forget to buy Bhakpia, a traditional cake of Yogyakarta.
The store was so good. So strategics and easy to find. You can reach the place by becak or paddicab.
Bhakpia Pathok 25 is the right place for me to buy gift for friends and relatives.
I love cheese, chocolate and mungbean for the filling of the bhakpias. So yummy!

Place for Jogja traditional baked pie with choice of filling such as monk bean, chocolate, cheese or pineapple. This is the factory so Bakpia was still warm and very fresh. I tried them right after purchase, wow it's really different. I like this brand being not so sweet.
