To reach this place, you need 1 hour driving from yogyakarta, this is the mix temple between budhist and hindu architecture, very beautiful especially when the weather is friendly, because you can also see the mt. Merapi another view is rice field and local houses. Really this temple very recommended!!!

Temple surrounding is quite neat, and the twin temple which is the main attraction is good condition after restoration work is finished. There is some other temple ruin, stretched across the area, you can see it from the road. There is some guide, maybe local people sometimes guide you and not asking for tips.

Wonderful walk through the rice paddies to Plaosan. Weather turned on us when we arrived and as there was no transport, the security helpfully gave us a lift. To get away from the crowds of Prambanan and if you have invested a day in the area, it is a must

When you want to visiting Prambanan, dont forget also visiting Plaosan Temple. This place is closed to Prambanan just about 300m. Plaosan have a best sunrise and sunset! This place recomended if you are a travel photographer.

Although quite crowded, the temple was large enough to find space and enjoy the intricate carvings and sculptures. An amazing ancient Hindu temple in a beautiful green park.

Much more quiet than Prembanan and therefore much more relaxed. Wouldn't skip this one, because of the beauty and the atmosphere.

This Hindu temple has the entire story of the Ramayana carved into the stone and is a Unesco World Heritage Site.

The temple was built by a Buddhist princess whose husband was Hindu, the same who built Prambanam. So you can see here a combination of both architectures.

Slighlty away from the Prambanan temple complex but uses the same architecture and similar rocks. A visit to this place is a must when in Jogja.
