I got myself a combination ticket for both Prambanan & Borobodur which will be cheaper instead of getting per ticket for every temple. Dont forget to try the free coffee served at the entry! Its a beautiful temple and there is also a service where you can dress up like a prince or princess of Java and get your picture... More

Most people just go there for some pictures and leave so it was like a private site for us when my family and I were there. We stayed for about an hour and this temple is no less than any other crowded temples.

It's about 15 minutes walk from prambanan. Just a couple of people visit here when i was there. You can find a few temple and a lot of ruins. it will worth the time you spend.

If you are visiting Prambanan, definitely stop in Sewu as well (about 15 mins walk). There are very few people there, so you actually can enjoy architecture without constantly being stopped for photos with local tourists. Beautiful tiny temple.

The temple is so quiet by the time of my visit. It was so stunning and beautiful. Take the bus there for cheaper fare

I walked up here after looking at the main Prambanan temples. This temple doesn't have as much of interest as the main ones closer to the entrance, but the ruins and the many Buddha statues are still interesting to look at and worth the trip. Granted, it is a long walk which can be unpleasant in hot weather, but I'd... More

Yes, it is on the other side of the park from Prambanan, but worth the walk in my opinion. The temple itself is impressive. Bigger than the photos make it out to be. But it is also surrounded by a sea of stacked stones from destroyed temples. Like someone poured out a giant lego set and they will have to... More
